Ingredients:
1 ripe banana (a ripe banana has tiny brown spots on the peel)
1/2 c. nonfat yogurt
1 tbsp. sugar or honey (or to taste)
1 c. crushed ice
1 tsp. fresh lime juice lime wedge or banana slice, for garnish

Directions:
Combine the first 5 ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour the smoothie into a large glass and garnish with a lime wedge or banana slice. Serves 1.

"Banana-Orange Smoothie"
Ingredients:
1 banana, peeled
1 large orange, peeled and seeded
2 cups vanilla-flavored soy milk
1 teaspoon ground ginger

Directions:
Place banana, orange, soy milk, and ginger in an electric blender. Process until ingredients are blended and smooth. Serves 2.

Ingredients:
1 cup vanilla soy milk
cup apple juice
1 cup blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, or sliced strawberries
1 ripe banana

Combine all ingredients in blender and puree till smooth. Serve garnished with berries or slices of banana.
